You can have multiple active sales running at the same time.
However, currently only a maximum of one sale can be applied to an order.
Here is an example of what happens when multiple sales are active:
If a customer was to place an order for a $10 Pizza and you had 2 sales running:
a) $2 off of all orders b) 40% off of all pizzas
$10 - $2 = $8 $10 - ($10 * .4) = $6
The sale applied to the cart is determined by what would discount the cart the largest.
Here is how you create a sale:
Click Marketing
Click Sales
Click the red Add New button
Create a Sale Name
Type a description of your sale
Select a date for your sale to begin
Select an end date for your sale to end, if you want to run a timed sale
Or choose for the sale to be an Ongoing without a set end date
Set the sale availability that your sale will have. You can choose:
-Anytime, meaning your sale will run everyday at all times
-Custom, meaning your sale will run only on the selected day(s) and time(s)
Choose the type of discount you want to offer, you have two choices:
-Percentage
-Flat amount
Lastly, you can set a minimum amount that orders need to meet in order to be eligible for your sale.
An example of this is: Spend $25 get $5 off.
Orders that do not meet that threshold will not have your sale automatically applied.
Below is a video that walks you through these steps.
